SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions govern the text-messaging program operated by Functional Stairs, a brand of Functional Floors and Finishing LLC (“Functional Stairs,” “we,” “us”). By opting in, you agree to these terms.

1. Program description

Functional Stairs sends text messages to customers who have ordered custom stair treads and related products so we can keep you informed about your order. Messages are transactional and service-related — for example: order received, in production, ready for pickup or delivery, delivery/pickup coordination, and occasional account or service notifications tied to your order.

2. How you opt in (consent)

Providing your phone number does not sign you up for texts. We use your number to call you about your order, pickup, or delivery. Text updates are a separate, voluntary choice, made one of two ways:

• Verbally: when we speak with you about your order (by phone or in person), we ask whether you would like text updates and record your answer; or
• Online with confirmation (double opt-in): by checking the optional, unchecked SMS box on our order form at functionalstairs.com/order and then replying YES to a single confirmation message. Ongoing updates begin only after you confirm.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can order from Functional Stairs without agreeing to receive text messages — customers who decline are simply called or emailed.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on the activity on your order. You will typically receive messages only as your order moves through production and fulfillment.

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier’s plan. Functional Stairs does not charge for the messages themselves.

5. Opt out — STOP

You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send one final message to confirm you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive text messages from us unless you opt in again.

6. Help — HELP

7. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider and is not guaranteed.

8. Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
